Creating your First XHTML Page

For this home work we will create a simple skeleton xhtml page to build all of our future pages.

This contact page should include the following:

• One of the following DOCTYPE declarations - XHTML1.0 Transitional, XHTML1.0 Strict, or XHTML1.1
• Proper use of HTML, HEAD, TITLE, BODY, and META tags
• Must include 1 meta tag with the name of "Author" and the content of your name.
• Must include 1 description meta tag.
• Must include 1 keywords meta tag.
• Must have a title of "CCIS 1301 - Homework 1"
• Must have 3 paragraphs of text (www.lipsum.org may be used).
• Must have bolded text and italicized text.
• Must have at least 2 HTML comments.

Requirements

You will be graded on the following:

• Valid XHTML1.1 markup: 10 points
• Use of the following tags: 20 points
  • html, head, body, title and meta tags. - 10pts
  • keywords, description meta tags - 4pts
  • comments - 3pts
  • paragraph tag - 3pts

All homework must be sent as a single zip file and uploaded to D2L (drop box for homework 1). Each home work must validate, include your student ID in the comments and your name as an Author meta tag

Extra Credit - 3 points

Include 3 links to other sites. (You may choose the sites, but they must be G, PG or PG-13 rated.)
